    <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;are these things permissible (this season, anyway), and if not why not:
&lt;br/&gt;1) dress or casual dress shoes without socks (e.g., loafers)
&lt;br/&gt;2) sneakers, or as the brits call them, "trainers" (there are many that consider them painfully declasse, yet they apparently are quite "in" these days to judge by the current street fashion)
&lt;br/&gt;3) "utility" shoes, e.g. hiking boots, work boots or shoes, and if so - which ones
&lt;br/&gt;4) white shoes (esp. for men)
&lt;br/&gt;5) sandals for men
&lt;br/&gt;6) cowboy boots for women or men (they always seem to be in, out, in again, out again, etc.) and if so - what would one wear them with??
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;we already know that sandals over white socks is PUNISHABLE BY DEATH!!!&lt;/div&gt;
